If you're going to row more than 3,000 nautical miles across the Atlantic ocean, then you're going to need some serious kit. That’s why we're proud that Gill is the Official Clothing Supplier of the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge 2015.

The Challenge

The Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is a feat of endurance, attracting rowers from all kinds of backgrounds to test themselves to the limit and, in the process, raise money for charity. The race teams are varied: from groups of 4, such as the all-women Yorkshire Rows and the inspiring all-amputee military team, Row2Recovery, all the way through to individual adventurers.

Departing from San Sebastian in La Gomera, each team will row across the Atlantic Ocean to Nelson’s Dockyard English Harbour, Antigua. The challenge begins on December 15th, and you can follow the progress of the teams via the official race tracker.

Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge Gill collection

Gill will be providing a combination of marine casual and technical styles of clothing to offer the rowers and their supports the very best and comfortable garments for any condition. For the challenging waters of the mid-Atlantic, with extremely wet and shifting conditions, our quick-dry fabrics and breathable garments will manage the changing air temperatures well.

The initial collection will soon be available online where crew and supporters will be able to order team shirts in advance of each race, as well as individual items from the full Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge Gill collection.
